Your support is appreciated. 1) JoLoMo, John Lowrie Morrison, one of Scotland's best loved contemporary artists, will be exhibiting new paintings at The Air Gallery, 32 Dover Street, the centre of London's exclusive art dealing district, from Monday 14th to Saturday 20th May 2006 - open Mon-Fri 10-6pm and Sat 10-2. John was born in Maryhill in Glasgow and studied at the Glasgow School of Art. The Private View for the exhibition entitled "Kintyre" is on Tuesday 16 May 2006 from 6-9pm when John will be present. Put colour into your life via www.jolomo.com/flash.html or contact Corrymella Scott. 2) International Scottish Colourist, Cara McKinnon Crawford, will be exhibiting Inspired Scotland at the New Grafton Gallery, 49 Church Road, Barnes, London, SW13 9HH , from Tuesday 13 June (Preview 10-8pm, drinks 6-8pm) to 24 June 2006. Cara is hoping to sell her native country to the south and beyond when she makes her solo debut in one of London's most prestigous art galleries, Many established names in the art world have first exhibited at the New Grafton Gallery in Barnes. Cara's exhibition consists of 52 paintings from Deep Winter on Ben Lomond to Summer Time in Ardnamurchan. Be Inspired by Scotland, visit www.caramckinnoncrawford.com or contact Cara. 3) The Fleming Collection, the London home of Scottish Art, 13 Berkeley Street, Mayfair, will be exhibiting Divided Selves: The Scottish Self-Portrait from the 17th Century to Present Day, from 20th June until 2nd September 2006. This survey of Scottish Self-Portraiture will examine the concepts of identity of both the individual and a nation. The role of the artist, their acceptance into society, the function of self-portraiture in their work, along with the psychology of the Self will be examined alongside issues of social status, gender, national and cultural identities within a specific Scottish art historical context. This exhibition is a collaboration between Talbot Rice Gallery, Edinburgh and The Fleming Collection. It is currently open to the public at Talbot Rice Gallery, see www.flemingcollection.co.uk for further details. 4) Passionate Scot, Gerard M Burns, a powerful new force in Scottish figurative painting, will not be exhibiting in London this year, but SIL love his work and recommend a wee visit to www.gerardmburns.com.
