A message about the Hannibal Challenge-22-24 Sept 2006. Lunch Presentation by David Fox-Pitt,1 London Wall, 12.30 www.hannibalchallenge.com / www.scotsinlondon.com Get fit, walk with fellow Scots et al in spectacular Alpine scenery and raise money for charity... The Hannibal Challenge, devised and organised by Scots, is a two day charity walk over the southern French Alps, retracing the footsteps of the Carthaginian General, Hannibal, when he crossed the Alps with elephants in 300BC to attack Rome. The idea behind Hannibal Challenge was derived from the highly-acclaimed book, Hannibal, written by top Scottish author and speaker Ross Leckie. Hannibal, published by Scottish publishing powerhouse Canongate, is currently being made into a Hollywood Blockbuster starring kilt-loving Vin Diesel. The first walk took place four years ago and since then the emphasis has stayed on fun and walking too! The walk is graded from bronze to platinum so everyone can find their level. Full details of the walk and the charity, Fredericks Foundation, can be found at: www.hannibalchallenge.com A full presentation and briefing by the Hannibal Challenge organiser, dynamic and passionate Scot, David Fox-Pitt, will take place over a buffet lunch in the London office of Scottish Law Firm, Maclay, Murray and Spens at One London Wall (St.Paul's tube) between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on Monday 6 March 2006. Please contact David Leckie, of MMS, via david.leckie@mms.co.uk, quoting scotsinlondon.com, if you would like to attend. Yours aye, Eddie Founder & Promoter, SIL p.s.
